Arizona Junior Golf Report

The Arizona Junior Golf Qualifier is scheduled for Saturday May 23rd at the El Rio Golf Course in Tucson: 1400 W. Speedway Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85745.

First tee time, 7:45 am
We are partnering with First Tee and currently have 40 golfers registered. Our stretch goal is to have 80 golfers.
This year, we are expanding the number of golfers who we will pay for the registration for the international tournament at Doral Golf Course in Miami, Florida. We will be paying the seven winners in each age group registration fees.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – We need volunteers who are willing to come out on the day of the tournament to help with various tasks needed to put on a golf tournament. Please let Jim Pekny know if you can help.

Fundraising: Fundraising will be on going with a raffle for Amazon gift cards:

$200 1st place;

$100 2nd place;

$50 3rd place.

Tickets are 1 for $5 or 3 for $10. The winners will be selected at the 4th quarterly meeting in Green Valley. See link below to purchase your raffle tickets online.

We also are running a fun golf dice game called, “Golo – How low can you go?” The game is simple: There are 9 dice representing the 9 holes on the front and back course (2-par threes; 2-par fives; and 5-par fours.). You roll the dice until you have a total score for the front nine and then roll again for the back nine. Your total goes on the leaderboard. We will continue the game through the 4th quarterly meeting and the person at the top of the leaderboard is the winner of a $50 Amazon gift card.
